iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.
PLEASE NOTE that applications that are only submitted in French cannot be considered by our non-French speaking partners at Sanofi worldwide.
Therefore, only applications that are submitted in English will be considered.

We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission of:

Finance Business Partner and Project Management Officer Sanofi Pasteur Northern Europe - VIE Contract (W/M)


Finance Business Partner and Project Management Officer Sanofi Pasteur Northern Europe delivers high quality finance and business support to ensure achievement of objectives in Northern Europe (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) and on top of this work part of the time (depending on the yearly cycles) as PMO for the commercial operations working closely with the General Manager and other leadership team members in Sanofi Pasteur Northern Europe. He/she will have working partnership with local function teams to ensure the organization’s financial integrity and stability, while steering the business towards enhanced profitability and expansion.

As a Finance Business Partner and Project Management
Officer Sanofi Pasteur Northern Europe VIE you will:

- Support in managing the monthly closing processes through transparent information exchanges
- Provide a financial expertise and analytic support to the Finance Business Partner in Northern Europe and to the Sanofi Pasteur Finance team at European level
- Monitoring and analyzing of sales, Cost Of Goods Sold - COGS, Accounts payable - A&P and other Operating Expenses - OPEX lines in order to secure country and Northern Europe Business Operating Income - BOI targets
- Consolidation and preparation of the monthly dashboard (sales, Profit & Loss - PnL, headcount) to be shared during - Leadership Team meetings and/or CBU’s – Country Business Update (Monthly meeting with SP Europe, reviewing financial performance)
- Active participation in the budget, forecast (F1/F2), strategic planning (Long Range Planning - LRP or Strategic Planning) and brand plans
- Support and coordinate the forecasts processes for Northern Europe building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
- Prepare agenda and content of the monthly leadership team meetings
- Support and drive the business review preparations
- Co-ordinate and support sales monitoring working closely with the business support team


1) Region performance monitoring
- Monitor monthly performance of the Region (Sales trend, Sales/P&L Landing, OpEx phasing, R&O tracking). Ensure accuracy and timely reporting
- Manage closing activities (sales and expenses accruals, inventory depreciation)
- Manage budgeting and forecasting activities (F1, F2-3YFF)
Contribute to stratplan exercise (P&L, HeadCount - HC)

2) Business Partnership
- Provide qualitative data/insights to support business initiatives and optimize resources and pricing strategies
- Build profit and loss (P&L) Contribution Market-Product to support growth opportunities and optimize opex allocations
- Responds to an internal client’s inquiries, applying knowledge and skills to guide and recommend solutions to address business needs.
- Identifies potential challenges and recommends solutions to internal stakeholders

3) Transversal management
- Facilitates and/or participates in transversal projects, is able to cooperate with people from diverse areas. Ensure the good set up of feed back
- Assist budget holders at regional level on external expenses spend follow-up

4) Processes and tools
- Ensure compliance of all internal control processes within his/her perimeter (Delegation of Authorities/ Delegation of Validation - DOV, commercial policy, contract approval process, pricing governance)
- Streamline reporting & forecasting processes, enhance tools improvements
- Contribute to accounts committees, external/internal/tax audits
- Manage the Demand to Cash related processes: Commercial Policies; Tender management; Revenue recognition; Gross To Net (including SISO (Sales-IN- Sales - Out); Days sales outstanding - DSO


- 95% Internal: requires working closely with the Head of NOBA/countries and the other members of the team, the other Business Units; countries teams and the global functions of the Multi-Country Organization - MCO
- 5% External: ad-hoc contacts depending on projects


- Top Business school advanced degree (Master 2) required; - Controlling or Finance major
- Relevant financial experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry would be a plus
