PURPOSE OF THE MISSION
Reporting directly to the Regional Commercial Underwriting Manager, the Junior Commercial Underwriter will provide support to the Regional Commercial Team. The mission covers all the Latin America Region(LAR), which include 11 countries.
The purpose of the Commercial Underwriting function is to analyze and approve credit limits for a portfolio of policyholders and to proactively monitor the portfolio of risk to mitigate losses.
At any one time key tasks & responsibilities could include but not be limited to the following:
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Keep up to date with the Group rules applicable to commercial underwriting activities
Take part in the commercial committees and be able to assist the commercial team with the application of the he Group rules
Communicate changes about Commercial Underwriting rules and contribute to training of regional Commercial Underwriting teams
Maintain all required records of proposals and any other relevant information to enable performance to be measured and monitored
Remain aware of current credit insurance trends through the development of a good working relationship with other sources of the industry news and development
Degree educated in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking or equivalent
1-2 years of finance background within a sales / account management or claims environment ideally within the credit insurance industry or banking/factoring organization
Excellent spoken and written English and Spanish
Clear understanding of the current economic climate and how it affects the market
Proficiency in MS-Office
Assertiveness and great skills in collaboration
