Job Description

The VIE will work in collaboration with the Lean manager helping her to develop our LEAN project.

Main responsibilities:

After a short training period, to know and to understand the production processes, the VIE will help the LEAN manager for continuous improvement & efficiencies for our production department’s products, systems, operations & processes.

General tasks:

Develop, deliver and support delivery of business improvement change initiatives. Develop and contribute towards improvement standards in line with best practice
Provide expertise, professional advice and guidance to the business in business improvement, drawing from proven industry practice and methodologies
Report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success
Define, develop and publish business improvement process documentation to reflect best practice
Undertake business process analysis, statistical analysis for improvement projects and to support wider change
Lead, define and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance, such as the planning and running of lean events
Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
Produce written reports (technical reports included) and make presentations
Undertake continuous training and development
Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
Ensure an effective interface with other departmental staff (maintenance, QA, QC, …) is maintained
Promotes a Zero Accident safety culture
Develop standardized work instructions
Study documentation and training manuals.
Communicate lessons learned and best practices from improvement projects
Focus on continuous improvement to eliminate short and long-term problems


Education & Experience:

Engineer degree
2 years’ experience in a similar role in industrial environment is preferred


Proficiency in Spanish is a must, fluent in English

Onboarding program:

The VIE will start with a group onboarding at Lesaffre headquarters in France, followed by a local onboarding in the assigned country.


The company covers the cost of a round-trip ticket (economy class) to VIE home country per each 12-month assignment
