Our Food Engineering department is looking to recruit a VIE - Process Engineer based at Wantage (UK) for 18 months. The successful applicant will report to EOLE & Ends Development Team Management in our Crown Corporate Technology Centre.

The role will include the participation in Food Europe projects focussing on the manufacturing process in our plants across Europe with the following objectives:
•To facilitate the introduction of new and alternative materials into the manufacturing process through management of the trials, data collection and analysis in a standardised format.
•To work on Food Europe 5 years strategic plan regarding EOLE & Ends ultimate program as well as downgauging program .
•To deliver and fully document the results necessary for qualification and approval of the new materials/products across the European plants

You have the ability to work with different central and local functions (CT, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing) and the ability to understand and develop a technical expertise on the manufacturing processes. You are able to communicate, co-ordinate and support each project with the targeted plants across Europe and to work and take measurements and results directly on the manufacturing shop-floor in the qualification trials. You conduct and document fully the trials and Identify the best practices on the shop floor in order to roll out European level. you write and issue technical documents in English.
The successful candidate will have an engineering degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or science, with a proven shop floor experience acquired in an industrial company and a knowledge in production and production tooling . You also have a knowledge and experience in project management. A self-starter, innovative, people and shop floor oriented, you have a safety mind set. You will be willing and able to travel in our plants in Europe (A full driving licence is required). You speak fluent English.
