The Finance Control Support role for Central Engineering is a major division within the UK. Central Engineering is a department of 1,000 people and provides engineers to the Space System division of Airbus Defence and Space. Space System is mainly in
charge of building various types of Satellites Telecommunication, Scientifics, etc) from preliminary design to in-orbit delivery for
institutional and private customers.
In this context, your main activities will include:
¤ Support the Budgetary Control manager preparing the Operating Plan for the various departments and the monthly reports
¤ Analyse the Cost Centres' spending against the budget with a monthly review with the departments to assess the risks and opportunities to conclude the necessary corrective actions
¤ Analyse departments' workload for the current and next five years
¤ Dealing directly with managers on a day-to-day basis
We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Educated to degree level (or masters) in Accounting/Finance.
- Keen interest in finance
- Able to communicate appropriately
- Work experience not necessary
The role is based in Stevenage.
