Poste et missions:
Securing sales growth and building sustainable long term trading relationships with our new customers in Eastern Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Ouganda and Rwanda).

 Identify importers (by market: Hardware products, Construction, Automobile) and convince them to import our products.
Accelerate our presence in different territories in Eastern Africa, by :
Better knowledge of our competitor -> built price policy linked to the market
Identify distribution channels
Create networking in the different market
Deliver the accounts’ annual budgets, growth and other KPIs
Understand and support the customer’s business and objectives. Use this knowledge to contribute to the delivery of Saint-Gobain Abrasives’ objectives.
Customer Identification. Develop new business / sales from the existing customer base and new customers.
Relationship building. Develop and grow breadth of contact base within the customer organization, and reciprocate this with Abrasives contacts known to the customer.
Customer Understanding/Strategy. Obtain insight and feedback from customers about new and future solutions / opportunities for Abrasives’ products and services, and support Marketing to meet these needs, under the umbrella of a true Category Management approach.
Provide clear price and margin management in accounts.
Follow Abrasives’ guidelines regarding pricing and discount / rebate terms for all accounts and major projects in the region.
Undertake and negotiate price increases as per company policy decisions.
Manage chain margin in accounts by finding and delivering projects which will increase the overall profitability of the business
Increase customer knowledge / awareness of SGA’s products / solutions through visits to key decision makers, training, and supporting marketing initiatives.
Report on all competitor activities and other market intelligence.
Comply with the Abrasives’ requirements for Safety, Health and the Environment.
Any other activities commensurate with the nature and level of the role.

Customer’s key decision makers – to influence the procurement decision.
Distributors – to identify new business opportunities for the customer.
The customer’s customers – to organize training about safety, use of our products

Customer Services – to ensure that customers remain satisfied, and CS well informed
Marketing / Technical – to better service the market for SGA’s products and services.

Annual budget top define
Decisions made within SGA’s authority levels.
Knowledge of commercial terms.
No direct line management responsibility, but will need to work with other SGA employees.
Some manual handling and lifting of the products is required.
Extensive travel may be required, with regular overnight stays.

Master's degree or equivalent (from Business School, Ingineering or University) with a  a sales experience and a strong interest for technical products. Strong verbal & written communication skills. Strong team spirit. Requires strong autonomy, organization, and project-time management skills needed.

Perfectly fluent in English.
