At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Finance entity of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex and interest rate hedging. Developing tailor-made products and providing strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes and capital markets) based on our worldwide expertise and in-depth sectorial knowledge, we aim to meet their financing needs. The Asset Backed Product (ABP) division, a fully integrated joint-venture between GLFI and MARK, brings together the strengths of our Global Finance team – primary markets, sectoral expertise, securitization and structuring capabilities, and the strengths of our Global Markets teams – secondary trading, distribution channels and debt securities financing, enabling us to better leverage our credit capabilities and to be a single entry point for ABS-type products and illiquid loans in support of our issuer and investor clients.
ABP is the centre of expertise and single entry point for engineering, distribution and trading of ABS type securitised products, trade receivables and structured loans. ABP's activity is exclusively focused on clients (corporates, financial institutions, insurance companies and investors in a wide sense, such as private equity, fund managers, specialised funds, hedge funds).
The VIE will be part of the Asset Backed Products/Engineering Team based in Frankfurt. The team in Frankfurt is currently composed of two persons (Director and Associate).
During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:
provide support to the team members in the origination, structuring and execution activities
prepare data analysis on the portfolios to be securitised and cash-flow modelling
prepare client presentations
support preparation of credit applications
assist with follow-up and monitoring of existing transactions.
participate to the origination and structuring process of new deals
cooperate closely with the other ABP teams mainly in London and Paris.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Frankfurt am Main is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com
Graduated from Engineering school, Business School or University with a master degree in Finance.
Experience in Debt Capital Markets / Securisation / Financial Engineering will be a plus.
You are fluent in English and German.
You are proficient with Pack Office and programming codes.
